THIS YEAR SO FAR (posted 7 February 2011 by matt)
2010 was a great year for us! We started with a major studio expansion. Next, was collaboration with Gibby Haynes and Psychic Ills, we completed mixing with Dream Diary, we did a full month of recording and mixing with My Best Fiend, we mixed a song for Kurt Vile, we recorded and mixed the new Arbouretum record, the list goes on. 2011 has a lot to live up to. So far, 2011 has been busy at Vacation Island Recording. We finished up mixing a new record for Girls In Trouble. After that, Beirut mixed their latest record with Griffin Rodriguez. Soft Landing (members of Beirut) also tracked a few songs with Griffin in January. This month we are eagerly awaiting the release of Arbouretum's latest, The Gathering, on Thrill Jockey. Dream Diary has released their album on Kanine records. Well, that's all for now. New Website (posted 7 January 2011 by matt)
